Who is Eligible to Apply?
An eligible person is under age 65, resides in the United States and is actively at work at the Member's place of business.Actively at work means you are performing the material and substantial duties of your occupation for wage or profit, on a full-time basis (at least 20 hours per week) in the usual way and for the usual number of hours and at the usual workplace or location.
Eligible person means:
- Proprietor, partner, corporate officer, limited liability partner or manager of Member Agency.
- Employee or licensed employee of a Member Agency.
- Independent producer who works exclusively for a Member Agency, is a Member of the National Association of Professional Insurance Agents, works at least 30 hours per week, and receives commissions of at least 150 hours per month times the minimum wage.
- Trustee or employee of PIA Services Group Insurance Fund.
- Executive Director or other officer, department or division head, or senior staff or employee of the National Association of PIA, a local PIA affiliate, or PIA Services, Inc.
